TYPO3 is an enterprise, open source content management system used and trusted by Fortune 100 companies and part of the EContent 100. TYPO3 stands out from other popular solutions, due to its native, business-driven features such as localization, versioning and workflow, and sophisticated ACL-based permissions. TYPO3's modern framework and development tools allow rapid, reliable implementation that is easily maintained and extended.
TYPO3 offers several key advantages over other content management systems, including proprietary and open source alternatives:
TYPO3 has an impressive history of success in enterprise website development. Many well-known companies including DHL, Volkswagen, Cisco WebEx, 3M, Phillips, Lufthansa, General Electric and Samsung rely on TYPO3.
TYPO3 is well documented and its back-end interface for editors is full-featured yet intuitive, making it easy for relatively non-technical users to grasp with minimal training. Infield Design provides custom training, documentation and ongoing support for our website development clients.
TYPO3's core features provide developers with impressive infrastructure on which to build business-specific functionality. Because key services and features are part of the TYPO3 core, developers can focus on each organization's unique business requirements.
TYPO3 offers the most complete suite of localization and translation tools of any open source CMS. The TYPO3 core includes multiple approaches to site localization as well as language-based access control lists (ACLs).
TYPO3 has been actively developed for over ten years. The current core team contains over 30 members and there is a healthy community of users that has grown around the project. Ongoing funding for the TYPO3 project is provided through the TYPO3 Association.
